boot into dos without a floppy drive?

"Use a bootable CD-ROM, if you can't then just borrow a floppy for the installation. "

If there is no floppy drive on the system, borrowing a floppy disk won't help.

The only thing I can think of is to create a bootable CDR or get a copy from someone who has them. I have my Windows Emergency Startup/Boot disks placed on bootable CDRs in order to help clients in your boat . . . they have computers with no floppy drives.

You can also get external floppies that plug into USB or Firewire ports that can be made bootable.

And, if you have a PC, you can install a floppy drive for less than $20.

The last floppy drives I bought were $7 and they worked just fine. I can't imagine a PC not having support for floppy drives, so I suggest getting one.

How can you boot into an external USB floppy drive? Don't you need the drivers?! Or is there some kind of special way to do it?!
