Hello,
Is it possible to boot from an external USB 2.0 hard drive? I have an 80 GB WD USB 2.0 HDD that I use for backup purposes. I have an internal 120 GB drive with a 12 GB WinXP primary boot partition. If I copy that WinXP partion to the front of my external drive and disable the internal hard drive, will my PC boot from the USB drive?
Of couse I have to set my BIOS to boot from it and all, but god forbid my internal drive ever craps out, I would love to still boot my machine from the external.
Thanks!
