Boot from CD issues

Hey all, I've got to make this quick, as I'm already late for soem errands I have to run.

Basically, I just finished building my computer, and I'm having some issues getting the DVD RW to work properly. It is recognized properly in the bios, but when the screen says "Boot from CD", it just hangs.

If everything went well it should say press any key to boot from cd, after that, but it just sits there. I can open the drive to put in the CD (and to take it out), any time before the screen reaches this step. I have only one Optical drive, and it is set to master and is alone on the IDE 1 channel.

The DVD-RW is a Benq model, and is not listed as compatible on the MSI website (The manufacturer isn't listed at all). Could this be the issue? I've seen oter people with the same or similar problem as me, but no threads that have come to a conclusion on how to fix it. I'd really appreciate any help. Here are the relevant system specs:

AMD64 3200+ (winchester)
MSI K8N Neo2 platinum
Benq DW400A dvd burner
74 GB WD Raptor
80 GB Maxtor drive

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also, I have tried different Boot orders in the bios to no avail.
