Boot Disk

I am working on a Toshiba laptop with a dead CD-ROM. I am looking for a USB boot disk so I can re-install the factory restore disk. I can boot to my USB Floppy drive but need to recognize my USB CD-ROM drive. Does anyone know of a Floppy Boot Disk to accomplish this?

Hmmm... have you run a search? You might have to buy specialized software for this.

FelixDeKat, Bootdisk.com has some information and ideas. I haven't been able to get them to work yet, so I posted here.

Thanks for the reply

Has anyone done this, and what tools have you used?

I searched far and wide for such a utility.

Check out this from HP (I can't find the link on HP's site).

Google for "hpusbfw_bootfiles.zip" for a set of DOS files you can point the utility to. It's fairly self-explanatory.

EDIT: Nevermind, I misread your original post. The link I posted makes a bootable USB key.
