Boot Disk For Windows XP w/ SP1

Ok this is my problem. Currently dont have a working floppy drive in my computer, and I saw on Microsofts site that I need 6 floppys for a boot disk with this version of windows. Is there anything I can do to get around this? Have tried to boot from the CD and no luck detecting it.

I have the set of boot floppys, and they do work. I would imagine that you could make a cd that would work. Copy all of the files to a folder, select them for the cd, and make the cd bootable. Nero offers this option, I imagine others do too. I have a Win98 bootable cd made from a floppy.

There's a specific process to make an XP CD bootable.

To the OP, download the network installation file of SP2 and use nLite to make a bootable slipstreamed CD.

If you have an original, legal copy of Windows XP, then the CD is bootable. If it will not boot in your computer, check in your CMOS setup for the boot order.

All my PC's have legal copies, seems fair to me to pay for something I use virtually everyday. There are legal, free alternatives if you don't feel the price is fair/right.
