Boot disk for WIN2K???

I'm trying to flash the bios on my motherboard under win2k. I have the awdflash.exe & the new bios file, but how do I make the boot disk with only the essential files on it???
Windows ME had it as an option, as does Win XP. Where is the option to create a boot disk in win 2k???? 😱

I don't think you need the bootdisk. Try hitting F8 to go to the advanced startup menu. Perhaps there is an option there suited for what you need.

Two things:

A) IMHO the original Compact Disc (CD) is the best boot disk - well, at least the fastest one.
B) From that (and only from that, as far as I know) you can create the Win2K Boot disks - which means there are 4!
C) Better go for the CD 😀

Here's what I do.

[*]Grab a Win98 bootdisk
[*]Boot PC to it and hit shift+F5 when it gives you the option
[*]remove bootdisk and drop diskette with bios flash files in and start the flashing procedure

you don't have to use any specific OS boot disk when flashing a bios. use the win98 or winME disk if necessary, those will work fine 🙂
