Boot disk fail.

When I boot up I get the Boot disk fail error. If I put the Windows CD in and boot from CD in bios it boots up. I don't have to press any key to boot from CD, it just boots up like normal. I tried reinstalling windows and it still does it. Could it be that my hard drives going bad? Ounce I'm in Windows, everything works great though.

Could be a bad cable.

It's a brand new cable that came with the board, but if it is bad, would it still work after I get booted up?
