I've been meaning to ask the burning questions for awhile and well I think now would be a good idea to ask. Are their any boot discs (Linux distro's or stand alone boot discs are acceptable) that would allow me to test my overclock and see if it is stable?
I want to take a Q6600 to 3.2Ghz and contrast and compare the temperatures and between a lapped and unlapped heatsink and processor and not have to worry about any software problems that could occur with the OS or drivers while removing the heatsink + processor. In this situation I would just find the boot disc a whole lot easier, I just don't know if it exists.
Anyone here have any thoughts or know of anything?
