Boost/Fix My Net Speed

for a while now my net speed seems to have gone to crap (RoadRunner) it really affects certain site, mainly this forums site, it takes 20-40 seconds (depending on time of day) to load a page from these forums... i don't know if it is just there are a lot of people on around me or if it is a RoadRunner problem in North East Ohio (where i am) i really find my speed unexceptable because i just so happened to go to my father's work today, and when i got on his internet the forums flew and loaded within 2 seconds everytime (same settings cuz i logged in etc)... this i thought was very ironic because their ISP is also RoadRunner, but their connection is in NY (they have a t1 from one office here to the other in NY and then in NY there is their cable hook up) i know their bandwidth might be a little more but it can't be that much greater... (just out of curiosity i did a ping test from his work and the average was 220ms, high but umm it is soo fast)
anyways i am trying to find out if any of you guys have maybe a fix for this or a way to trick RR into giving me a little bit better situation or something like that
also if you have any ideas on why i am running so slow just lmk

Go to DSLReports and run some tests. Check the Speed Test and the Tweak Test first. The tweak test will test your TCP/IP settings and recommend a good setting for you. It's pretty self-explanatory. Depending on your OS, you can check Speedguide and download the right tweak for your OS. After applying the tweaks, my pings dropped to about 20-50 in multiplayer games. My download speed has stayed consistent at about 1900Kbps. Hope this helps.
