I stared at my old BART ticket that I used up until the end of 2005. I noticed a lot of "$3.05" charges. Obviously that meant I went to SF all too many times. On the $21 ticket, I couldn't find a single charge for $3.65 (which is what it costs me to BART home). So obviously I went to SF to shop too much and not back home too often.

Last weekend I took BART to go to SF and then I noticed it was a whopping $3.25 from Berkeley. WTF. Jumped 20 cents eh?

Disappointing.

Then I went to Denny's and I noticed the Lumberjack Slam is now $8.29 and not $7.99? *sniff*
 
Bart sucks. That is all.
I mean what can you say about a transit system where you gotta pay by the zone, that stops running at 1am, and that doesn't even go all the way around the bay. Pathetic.
Caltrain sucks too. Now, that is all, for real.
 
Unions FTL.

Those guys that sit in the booths that do nothing all day but watch you go past, with no college degree required get almost $30/hour. Engineers get well into the 6-figure range.

And they were threatening to strike.

LoL Caltrain for the lose. 1.5 hours to get from Sunnyvale to SF to watch a fvcking Giants game? Bleh

My home is still 30 min south of BART.. it's annoying how it doesn't connect into Silicon Valley, and mainly hte poorer East Bay benefits.

Berkeley => Fremont = 50 min. Fremont => Cupertino = 30 - 35 min (via car)
Berkeley => Cupertino via car = 55 min - 1 hr

idiotic.
 
You are still better off driving to fremont and taking Bart than taking Caltrain from sunnyvale.
At least Fremont Bart has free parking.
 
lawl, your transit system is called BART.. they should have a counter-advertisment to those mad with the prices with the tagline "Don't have a cow, man!"
 
They did raise the prices a bit. I visit SF several times a year and noticed that last month it cost me .10 more to get from Ashby to 16th/Mission. Can't say it bothered me though. that system is great for public transportation, compared to places I've been which only have buses that get stuck in traffic and stop running far earlier than BART does. Do all of you complaining about BART actually LIKE to sit in SF/ Bay Bridge traffic or something? It doesn't need to go every corner because SF has more modes of transit besides BART. Why run an expensive system like that to places where a bus or cable car would be more suitable?
