booo.. my canon film camera has a shutter issue

My Canon Rebel S (might be S II) Film SLR has a shutter problem.

Shot 48 pictures (2x24) this weekend. Only 4 are usable. Rest have the shutter in the view and or light leak.

ugh.. there were so many good shots, none are usable now.. bah!

He is very very good. Loves film over digital even though he will work on digital.

Lets see what he says.. then we shall talk.

I think the street value of the Rebel is in the $40 range, TOPS. I'd be a bit surprised if it can be fixed for less than that.
