Boom! Headshot!. Miami Gun Battle Caught on Tape

looked like idiots on both sides, how do the cops not do anything about the guy getting into the car till after he gets out. and WTF are you getting out of the car with gun drawn and not immediately firing.

It's a good thing that gangsters are bad shots. Anyone with half a clue how to shoot would have killed those cops before they knew what was happening.

When the target boards in real life move and shoot back it's rather hard to aim properly.

At that range? Nope. They were facing away, totally oblivious and high on the adrenaline of the arrest. I could have drilled them both in the back of the head in under 5 seconds from that range.

I dont think the cops knew that guy was in the car. It was just bad/good timing.

BTW, if you google the news on this video, the guy who gets shot in the head dies. You can clearly see he was also shot once in the middle of his back as well as his side due to the growing blood stains on his shirt.

Should have stayed in the car. Going up against 3-4 cops with vests with a .380 that probably only had 7 rds. Stupid hurts.

Some missing information here.

The guy got into the car before the calls pulled up, they didn't know he was in there.

They weren't there to arrest anyone or server a warrant. It was a knock and talk. The house had been under surveillance as a suspected grow house. They approached to talk and see what information they could gather or would have been allowed entry.

Cop on the right (in the first part) was shot three times in the stomach.

Goes to show you shot placement is everything. Doesn't matter much if it's 9mm or .45, pistols suck at stopping people unless it's a shot to the head or spine. The guy was littered with bullet holes and kept himself in the firefight until a shot to the noggin' took him down.

First thing I noticed. Guy gets in the car, but the cop walks right by him going to the house door.

I'd like to know what they were using.

I can't see how anyone could take a .40 180gr Federal HST to the upper torso and still be standing for example. I guarantee one of those high center mass between the arm pits is taking you down when you have a .80 caliber flower tearing through your heart and aorta at 1000 fps. You'd immediately feel like the wind was knocked out of you and before you could figure out why your BP would be 0 after 2-3 heart beats and you'd pass out.

This was just spray and pray from being surprised and being more concerned with laying down suppressing fire and seeking cover. They didn't have time to aim, but you don't necessarily need a head shot with a hand gun.

This guy basically suffocated slowly due to the slow peripheral blood loss, that's the reason it took so long. Imagine the feeling you get when you hold your breath as long as possible, except when you inhale/exhale nothing happens because there isn't enough blood to deliver the oxygen. Breath all you want but still suffocating and writhing around in protest trying to stay conscious.

Well then.... there IS a cure for stupid!

Did he think he had a chance there? Close distance... 3 on 1... even giving them time to react? Soon as they turn around you drop it like you don't know where it came from, never seen it before in your life.

You've killed how many people at close range? Or when you refer to yourself, are you really referring to internet Rambo you?

The only shot that precludes the possibility of a perp being able to fight back is one right through the spinal column. You can have a perp on PCP that you shoot in the heart and he's going to keep coming at you for up to 6 seconds, which at close combat distances is enough for him to axe murder you and 2 of your buddies before his brain realizes he's dead.

Happens all the time. Guns aren't the magic death machines that are depicted in tv and movies. The body doesn't need the heart or blood pressure when amped up on adrenaline in a fight or flight situation. It takes a few seconds to catch up.

I'll see if I can find the autopsy report of this guy that was shot 17 times, including the heart and lungs and stayed in a gun battle with state troopers for several minutes. What ended the fight was a gunshot to his arm, destroying the nerves and making him unable to use his arm.

An Army medicine journal had an article on a solider who was loading an M2 into a truck and pushed on the barrel, discharging a round through his hand and through his heart and out his back. He lived another 30 seconds or so according to the soldiers that were with him.
