Books to upgrade my knowledge

This is my first visit and I believe this is the right place to get some help !
I am a Teacher here in Brasil-Sao Paulo.
We do not have enough books to increase our skills.
So, I would like to buy some important and indispensable books.
Please somebody could indicate the best books to buy in USA ?

Authors, title , etc...
Thanks,
Marks

Since you have Internet access, you might start here.

If you are looking for more specific advice, you might need to be, well, more specific. Do you want fiction? Nonfiction? Textbooks? How-to books? Self-help? Particular topics (history, politics, math, physics, computer programming, romance novels, sci-fi, etc.)?

Amazon also has lots of lists of best-sellers and *tons* of lists of user-recommended books. You could get suggestions from a far, far broader audience there.

Sorry... I´ve forgotten to inorm my subjecct ! Hardware.
I have been looking for Hardware Books.
I want to get A+ and we have not enough books.
I am intersted in develloping a special hardware course with books in english and, of course, I have already visited Amazon but unfortunatelly I don´t know some athors like: "Michael Meyers", "Jean Andrews" and "Scott Mueler".
So I would be great if you could infor something about them: "go ahead-Buy" or "avoid some of them" or "visit your site that is..."
Thanks for your prompt information

Still needs some clarification here...

Are you looking for books that will lead to an A+ certification (computer technician), or do you want hardware development books (electrical engineering / computer engineering)?

I am lookinng for books that can give me information about all kind of things that I can find into the computer. I want to increase my knowledges in RAM, CPU, FSB, Chipsets, how to do a upgrade or overclock, etc. I believe that I coul find all this subjetcts in a good book and, of course, at the same time try to get my A+. By the way, the A+ and Hardware can follow the same way ! So, I need to know how to do an upgrade and after study theory through a good book of A+ !
If I am wrong, please give a light !
Thanks for all help I have already received !
