Books about Prosperity in the Great Depression?

are there any books that address this issue? of course there are tons of books abot how people lost everything, etc etc etc, but are there any books about successes, growth, prosperity during the great depression?

sorry, should have been more clear... i mean like economic success. like businesses that really grew a lot, or people that were able to make a killing as a result of the depression.

If so, cash and precioius metals are good.

ok well could you just tell me a few examples? i could do a literature search from there... i just don't have much of a starting point.
 
Kennedy seems to come to mind... Wait, no, I'm thinking of prohibition. But they probably made a shatload off the depression, too.
 
I don't know but that's when my grandfather made his money.


he never trusted banks and kept his money in a sock under the matress, when the company he worked for couldn't make payroll he floated them the money, and got shares. when the depression was over he owned half the comapny 🙂
