Bookmarks gone, Profile Switching in Firefox - *SOLUTION*

Like many other people I've been reading about, I seemed to have lost all of my bookmarks. However, when I started up Firefox yesterday it told me that I couldn't use the default user's profile because there was already an instance of it running (or something like that) and I was forced to choose the alternate profile that it showed. This new profile doesn't have any of my bookmarks but I found the bookmarks.html file with all of the correct bookmarks in one of the profile's folders. I've looked through the menus and can't seem to find a way to switch the profile you're using (the box to NOT ask which profile I wanted to use at each startup was selected when I hit ok to use the alternate profile).

Does anyone know how to switch it back to my previous profile?

run Firefox with the -p flag to load the profile manager

close all Firefox processes first... then go to Start -> Run -> firefox.exe -p
