You know what I mean, looks like 2 V's on top of each other, seen mainly in office 2000. Well for some reason my IE 5 has started doing this under win2k

How to I turn this off???

thanks

W2K - Right click on your task bar, hit Properties and uncheck the "Use Personalized Menus" option. Office 2K, open any application like Word and do Tools, Customize, Options, then uncheck the thing that says "Menus use recently used commands first."

Voila!

Go to Internet Options|Advanced, and uncheck 'Enable Personalized Favorites Menu'. If it's already unchecked, I'm out of ideas..

thanks, thats annoying as hell. no I just need to figure out why it started doing it all of a sudden

Did you just recently install W2K or Office2K? It takes a while after installation before the "customized" menus start doing their thing.
