I live in SO Cal, there is no train that goes that close to Disneyland, BART is the train system up in the bay area right? We have the Metro Link, but I don't think the closest station is that close to Disneyland. If you don't rent a car, the bus, OCTD is going to be your best bet. Disneyland is in Anahiem, you can be anywhere from Riverside to LA and still be within one hour of it. Well, if you're taking the bus maybe not.

What's OCTD?

The Bus system in OC, I think it's Orange County Transit District or something. hummm maybe it's OCTA? haha been awhile since I lived in OC and took public transpo. If you don't need anything fancy, you could stay at a Motel 6 or something similar for about 60 bucks a night. There are plenty of hotels/motels around Disneyland, but I have a feeling their rates will be a bit higher due to their location *shrug*

I only need it for 14 days. Most listings on Craigs ask for 600-1200/mth, so what's the problem?
You can't find a motel for $50/night?

maybe one of those that charge by the hour

So much misinformation in this thread.

First, the bus system in Orange County is OCTA (Orange County Transportation Agency).

Secondly, I do not recommend the bus sytem, especially OCTA which is known for its poor time schedule. If you just want to get there, thats fine. If you want to get there and get somewhere else by a certain time... good luck. There is no reliable, convenient, public transportation in SoCal. End of story. I recommend renting a car, and do what Southern Californians do best. Drive and clog up the freeway. 😉

Next, tax in Orange County (which includes Anaheim) is 7.75%. Within an hours distance is just about everything (Los Angeles to San Diego... well a little more than hour).

Lastly, therse not much to din the city of Anaheim itself. I recommend traveling to the coastal portion of Orange County or going to West L.A.

P.S. What do you mean by "oranges are plentiful"?

Seriously. I've stayed in motels from $25/night to almost $200/night and they're all the same when it comes down to it. A motel 6 for <$50/night is fine.

haha hourly Hotels are EXPENSIVE! The Snooty Fox in LA is like err I forget haven't stayed there for ages. But you defnitely don't want to spend the night there, it's like 25 bucks an hour. People use those as places to fvck a hookah and split.

yeah, i might let you stay at my place. but first i need to something, how do you feel about sexual torture dungeons? also, how long can you go without food or water and are you comfortable around rodents?

What a coincidence. I just came back from Canada and I live near Disneyland. Too bad I don't have a place available, sorry. 😀

At least you'll find things cheaper in the US. Sorry, no ketchup Lays or poutine.

I wouldn't advise that. A buddy of mine added the "magic" to magic mountain while ont he ride. If you bring a trashbag or somethign to sit on you should be fine.

i live about 10 minutes away from disneyland and knotts, this will probably be the easy buck i'll make considering i have a spare room, but somehow i fear for my life????

um yeah so i would like to run an id check just incase your some psycho but i have a place in la a guest room that i would go for 800 for 2 weeks its about 40 minutes driving from disneyland and 30 from magic mountain and 35 from knotts berry farm, LA is 20 minutes away so yeah are you interested? is your wife hot? j/k lol but post pics

What's this berry farm? Is it just a berry farm?
I say oranges are plentiful because all our Tropicana comes from California orchards. Oh, and CA has some good wine too.

I guess a motel would be alright, assuming I can find one reasonably close. I'm 20, GF's 22, so renting a car can't be done (IIRC you have to be 23, at least).
