I've always hated network sports coverage, at least with baseball. They always cut back from commercials at the last possible second, often after even that 🙁 One time I had to watch a replay since someone hit a triple on the first pitch of an inning and they were still playing commercials :| One of Fox's announcers called the hit & run the "run and then you hit" play. He wasn't trying to make a point about the order things are done or anything, he simply didn't know what it was called 🙁 Then they're constantly plugging their newest IQ-lowering reality series during the game, and of course there's no post-game show. It's enough to make me want to puke.
Don't forget the history channel. I saw plenty of slippage when they were running the history of the playboy mansion last week. The history of sex series is pretty interesting also.
I thought the only people who listened on the radio & watched on tv were baseball fans? Unless ABC has a different scedule in your area, the only thing I'd think they'd show would be football. I'm not a fan of any football announcers though. The analyst on espn right before MNF are pretty good though. Sometimes that plays over into the first quarter & also during halftime.

Actually, I'm more likely to watch that during the winter Olympics than I'd watch baseball during the World Series. 😱

I am not a huge baseball fan but when I do watch Baseball I do listen o the radio. I have been brought up to appreicate the QUALITY of radio announcers covering a Baseball game. I think that 5 sec delay is BS and if some of society has gotten to the point that they can not LIVE without censoring EVERYTHING because they are a bunch of busy bodies who want to attempt to control everything that everyone else is doing we should allow them the oppertunity to become Omish. No offence to the Omish community but they do not worry about what everyone else is doing as long as they are allowed to live their life in peace they are contempt. When something gets shown on TV ( a nasty lil boobie) they are not freaking out!!! Why ????? Because they do not live by the TV ( or any other mordern invention for that matter). So to conclude my rant YOU PEOLPE WHO ALLOW FOR THE TV TO BE YOUR CHILDS BABY SITTER AND THEN GET ALL TWISTED BECAUSE IT SHOWED YOUR CHILD SOMTHING YOU DONT LIKE SHAME ON YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU NOT THE TV NOT THE PROGRAMS NOT THE ADVERTISERS NOT EVEN THE ACTORS.....YOU ARE THE ONE TO BLAME. There is a button on every TV out there called the power button. Use it and leave the rest of society alone with your self ritcheous ( misspelled i think still to early) I know what is best for the rest of the world and you dont attiude. Man you people make me sick this is a FREE country (for the most part) and i am free just as you are to turn my damn TV off. Just as i should be free to watch a Baseball game LIVE without haven to worry about a fanatic fan running across the field naked and then you sueing because they were not able to block it because it was on a live feed instead of a 5 sec delay. Believe it or not that is apart of life and unless you want to live back in the times where the "Goverment" choose what you read and what you saw and what you learned and edited what they did not want you to see, read, learn, or know. Yeah thats exactlly what the EVOLVED society is doing we are slipping back to the midevil times instead of stepping forth on to bigger and better things.

Despite the fact that this has been debated at length many times, let me tell you where we come from.
We have no problem with that stuff on TV. The problem is that there is a time and place set aside for stuff like that. There are rules in place so that if you want to get your hard0ns, you can turn to xx channel at xx:xx time and you can get hard all you want. There are also times when the rest of the world can watch TV. We have this system in place so that we can satisfy both sides. You claiming that you are right and everyone else is wrong is just stupid. There are no rights and wrongs, hence this system.

NO not that i am right and everyone else is wrong. The majority favor non censorship. The minorty is the ones who have sued forcing the "system" to be the way it is. I do not watch for a HARD ON as you so elleglently put it. I would like to see the show/movie/game/event/news as it is without someone feeling the need to adjust it to what they think is better for me. I think this is very arrogant of people to think they know whats best for someone else or the the masses. I am not saying that your way is better or my way is better I am saying allow us to be capable of making our own decisions. They have boxes out now that censor the programming you watch so if you are really concernd oabout whats on the TV you censor it yourself. Unless of course you feel as though your are uncapable of doing that in which case maybe it is you who needs the help not society. And as for a time and a place I agree we should not have X /XX/or XXX on while are children are awake.....correction during normal bussiness hours +2. Some parent allow their children to do as they want and stay up way to late in my opinion. The fact remains whats the worst thing that could possibly happen in a live game ?????? A naked person running across the field????? If you think your child does not know the difference between a man and a woman and what makes us different then you are the one in the dark because at some pointwith or without your knowledge they have learned/seen the difference. ITS A HUMAN BODY AND ITS AN IDIOT RUNNING ACROSS THE FIELD. Hey i know take the oppertunity to have a talk with your child/children about NOT DOING DRUGS. Nah dont use the situation to improve your childs life instead complain and moan about how YOU trusted the TV and it showed you an inappropriate image at an inappropriate time:shocked: boo freakin hoo. cheers :beer:
Heh try watching baseball on mlb.com, it's about a 20 second delay 😛 I ordinarily don't mind cable announcers; these are the guys who do 90% of a team's games. It's when (usually on weekends) the networks carry games that it gets really bad, especially if they have their own announcers, who generally don't know a damn thing about the game they're announcing.

Could be. I remember trying to listen to the radio and watch NC State play Virginia last year in football. It was an awesome game but I had to turn off the radio because it was ruining the plays for me.
That's like watching a suspenseful movie and having your friend say, the killer is right around the corner and he's going to kill the person right before it happens...
