It's halfway through the year 2006.

I just told my buddy - just go pick up that gaming adapter for 40 bucks (regularly 90), should have everything you need for your xbox360. It's pretty new and it's A and G to boot.

Starting walking him through the config and turns out the thing only supports WEP for encryption. So now he has to move his home network to WEP instead of WPA2.

boo. weak. It's almost 2007.

Can he take it back? Might be better than downgrading his network security!!!

I just can't believe it doesn't support it. But sure enough.

LOL.

If he is a penny pincher it usually means that he does not have to many have them.

So, WEP would be OK.

No pennies.

Nothing to take away.

No need for extensive security. ;)

I guess I'll have to give it a try. I'm tired of managing 6+ wireless machines on my home network. :p

gaa!!

This thing is doing some weird plug and play crap and mucking with his xbox.

dang you! Do what I tell you to do. Knock off the trying to magically communicate with things. automagic anything is never a good idea. WTH is this thing doing???? It's telling the xbox that the xbox has a wireless adapter. WTH????

And people wonder why I stay away from home networking.

grrrrrrr.
