I believe in ghosts in the same way that I believe in UFO's. They are both unidentified phenomena. Does not mean that they are spirits visiting us from beyond the grave, necessarily, but to deny that all of these people are lying about seeing or hearing these phenomena, is a pretty myopic and ignorant statement. Even if it is "all in their heads," then that in and of itself is a phenomena that remains unexplained.

Hotel del Coronado. I didn't even know this was supposed to be haunted.

Crescent Hotel. I knew this was supposed to be haunted. Stayed here a few times. Never noticed anything beyond the basic fear that children get when they're told it's supposed to be haunted.

Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Nothing here either.

Meh to "hauntings."

I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village a couple years back for a convention. Needless to say nothing happened. Oh well.

Honalulu - Hilton Hawaii Village - Believed to be haunted by the volcano goddess. Visitors, house cleaners, and other staff members say that they see a woman in a red dress walk in the hallways, on the beach, and everywhere in between! Some people say that the volcano goddess shows up in other forms such as a young woman, and old woman, a hitch-hiker, and a stranger that comes to your door, among other things and never travels alone. When on the beach, she'll be accompanied by dancers.

I've eaten at the Stanley in Colorado. It was a really nice place - full of history.

I was watching the Cubs on TV once and the broadcasters mentioned how the hotel the team stayed at in Milwaukee when they were on the road was actually supposed to be haunted by the original owner who would check on guests to see if they need anything. They then mentioned that it was the Pfister Hotel which I stayed at the prior spring. Of course I saw nothing but I was in the new wing and its supposedly the old wing that is haunted.

The Hotel Del is a fabulous hotel to stay in, and it is an old creaky building. But, there is still no such thing as ghosts. Period.

Actually, the psychological phenomena that cause "ghost sightings" are reasonably well documented, and the neurological bases for them are being demonstrated daily. IIRC, we are already at the point where we can induce them with electrical stimulation.

Link?

*edit* Reading around Internets and not finding anything that can describe noises like footsteps that are heard by multiple witnesses. I agree that visual sightings are easy to explain and I won't expect "the chills" as proof of anything, but audio clues have me stumped. Not all of them can be explained by the wind.
