OMFG, awesome fried chicken, I mean AWESOME. Fried Mac & Cheese balls the size of Tennis Balls with bits of Jalapenos in them and sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese. Fried Cat Fish that melts in your mouth. 3 types of Corn Bread and a lot of other stuff. Went there for the first time and tried the all you can eat sampler platter. LORD HAVE MERCY! They even have Kool-Aid :D

It's located in a semi ghetto area, but worth checking out. Some of the best down south food you'll eat. Crazy big portions, everything was to die for. I did not touch the Gizzards or Greens or Chittlins, I'm not a fan of grits. And I did not try the Ox Tail stew, I'm not sure what's even in it, but the name makes it sound unappetizing. They have a pretty big menu. The Fried Chicken was out of this fucking world. And the Mac & Cheese Balls were about as close to perfection as possible. Not too expensive, especially considering how much food you get, and the quality is top notch.

it's on 54th and Euclid. Anyone in SD who liked down south food and hasn't been - this is one of the best places I've ever eaten. I will be going back (and back and back...)

Any establishment that uses the term "soul food" in their name, knows how to cook it right. ;) Growing up in Sacramento we had a soul food place, again located in the ghetto, and man it was good stuff. We use to go over there after school and get a $3.00 plate loaded down with mac and cheese, a couple ribs, a piece of BBQ chicken and a sweet tea. Good stuff!!
