Bong = Water Pipe.

Around here (Tulsa, OK) the trendy shops get around the law by selling bongs as "flower vases". Anyone with common sense knows it's a bong, but I guess it's legal to do it this way.
 
your head shop didnt have big sign saying that you couldent call them that

all the ones i have been in have had big signs that say " NO B WORDS"
 
It's just like calling a hooka ok because you put "fruit" in there, but any person in their right minds knows that anyone can put a drug in there.
 
Washington state, you can by meth pipes at gas stations. well they had a back room for adults only... Man they had some sweet 5 champer pipes....

at a head shop in Penn State, there's a sign:

"If it rhymes with song or soul, we don't sell it."

The first time I walked in, I saw that sign, then immediately a girl walks in and asks if they sell bongs.

water pipes here but most of the head shops dont give much sh!t if you slip up as long as you're not acting like a stoned retard. at least in my experience.
 
when my wife and I were in CA this fall, we were walking through LA, and passed a shop with some bongs in the window. take into consideration she is from MN, and has lived here all her life, she thought she might pick up one for her mom because it would make a nice vase :laugh:

I started laughing, and then told her what it was. she was a little 😱, but laughed at it later. I still bring it up every once in a while.
