It's something of a national passtime over here, hows about there? Do you guys love doing a good "The name's Bond... James Bond" impression?

Here's a great couple of comedians called Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan, doing some exceptional impressions IMO.

From a great mini show called "The Trip". I've been told you guys don't know of Alan Partridge so Coogan maybe new to you. He's awesome.

Enjoy.

I'm 8 1/2 inside.

...

Is this some sort of penis joke?

If so, I am not laughing. James Bond was cool for about a year and a half after the release of Goldeneye 64. After that, it was too cheesy and too lame to be cool.

The coolest thing about James Bond is that all the good movies have been made and we don't have to think about it anymore.

It was a joke, but also I meant "I'm a big kid" I love everything I did when I was 8 1/2 still.

I love James Bond, I love the books, I love the films, I love the games and more great Bond films are yet to come.

Ahhh, nicely done then.

James Bond is a great character, and as such, he draws a lot of derision.

That's completely true, but I didn't mean to deride the great one. I genuinely adore the character he is my second favourite fictional character, and so he shall remain, without something exceptional happening.

Who's your first favorite fictional character?

You're so British!

I was hoping for Dorian Gray. :p

Hah, No afraid not, a good guess though.

I adore Holmes. The character continues to spawn amazing things. like the new films and House for example.

I should note that I do adore Oscar Wilde though.

Fair enough, my favorite characters aren't so because of what they spawned, they are so because of what they were. As far as I'm concerned, you have it right, Holmes>Bond, intellect over force and all that. I'm not saying Bond isn't smart, but his smarts are applied to force, not crime solving like Holmes.

You're alright, Hal9000.
