I was just curious if any of you guys saw that Congress passed the Tax Rebate legislation and it should be getting signed shortly.

I'd be happy, but I'm a poor unemployed student so I won't be getting one, but what do you guys think?

Personally, it seems to me that it's an attempt to bandaid a larger problem.

I'll be happy to take the tax rebate, even though I have no idea where they're getting the money for it, and probably don't want to.

the USA is repeating history and at some point we'll switch from a Constitutional Republic to some form of oligarchy

if you look at Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton , that may some day be seen as the beginning of the oligarchy, since two familes would be in control of the executive branch for so many decades
