some dipshits thought it was funny to pull the fire alarm in a full ~10 story dorm the night before finals. lots of very angry people on the ground that night.

This is a joke. My junior year in high school had about 30 bomb threats in two months. Just a bunch of dumb kids who didnt want to be in class starting calling them in and then when that got old, they started putting random boxes in bathrooms. I do agree with Beev, just because I see a box I dont think that there is a bomb in it.

The school hasn't mentioned any specific threats, but yes, they were thought to be bombs/devices from the start.
