Bolt-thru kit question and/or cooler recommendations

I have a question regarding bolt-thru kits. I currently have the system in my sig, and the CPU is cooled by a Xigmatek RS-1283 cooler with a socket 775 bolt-thru kit. I am planning on upgrading soon and will likely go with a socket 1155 board and an i7-2600K. A few questions:

1. I am thinking about using the existing Xigmatek cooler in my new rig. Is this a good idea? Any recommendations for a socket 1155 bolt-thru kit?

2. If this isn't a good idea, any recommendations on coolers? I'd ideally like to hit 4.5 Ghz with the CPU but I really don't want to spend $80+ on a heatsink/fan combo either. Let's say $50 or $60 is the max I'm willing to spend -- are there significantly better alternatives than the Xigmatek above?

Thanks guys

There's better coolers out there for $50. - $60. than your Xigmatek, but give it a shot first.

If you DON'T hit 4.5GHz, it won't be the cooler that is holding you back.

Thanks. IIRC, the RS1283 was rated as the second best cooler in 2008 when I built the box and I was hoping it would still be useful on an i7. Sounds like it is worth a shot, though the list of heatsinks IDC linked contains a few reasonably priced ones.

Sandy's are not heat limited on AIR.

Your going to run into Dangerous voltage if your cpu cant do it.

The sink is for extra stability at load so you have a better heat transfer.
