Boise State is an undefeated division 1-A football team that has a nice win over Oregon State (42-14, and yes the same Oregon State that beat USC) @ Oregon State. The WAC is no pushover...San Jose St. is a bowl team, Fresno State has played everyone tough, and Hawaii is also a top-25 team with the best offense in the entire country. Boise St. beat all of these guys!

Why shouldn't they be playing OSU? Anyone see Zabransky and how plays QB? He's awesome. Anyone know that their running back Ian Johnson is a heisman candidiate and leads the entire nation in scoring despite missing a couple of games? Yeah...they're that good.

P.S. This is NOT a parody thread :)

How am I being an ass? It doesn't matter what team I make an argument for, I'm going to piss off somebody. That's called sports, not being an ass.

Nah, that title goes to Scarlett Johansson.

To be honest, if Michigan wins the bid Boise State just might be playing Florida! That'd be a good game.

Not if Florida takes the game seriously. Only way Boise stays in that game is if Florida has an emotional letdown from playing a perceived "lesser" opponent.

Boise State had a nice season, and is a good team, but get real....they played nowhere NEAR the schedule that any of the other top teams did.

If you're going to play in an weak conference (relative to the BCS conferences), then you can't gripe when you have a miracle season and don't get a shot at the title. Because you don't deserve it.

Edit: I believe Boise State's Strength of Schedule is the weakest of the top 20 teams.

Well, you're probably right. Talent-wise, Florida is on another level. But honestly, Boise St. runs such a well-coached offense, that I wouldn't be surprised if they could put up a fight. Also, every game Florida plays (except W Carolina) is exciting because it's usually pretty close. Florida isn't an explosive high-powered scoring machine and it could be a good game.

Honestly, I hope Florida wins the bid for the NC game vs OSU. They deserve it.
