BIOS ROM checksum error

INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

^ thats the error msg i get when i turn the d@mn thing on. It's an Abit KT7 - RAID, duron 600, and 128 PC133 corsair. I've tried all my boot disk, but can't seem to get a A;/ prompt. Has anyone expeniced this problem before and if so how can i get a prompt so i can flash the BOIS?

wow that sound serious...sorry i dunno what to do. is this a new system? have you made sure all your plugs/cables/wires are all in?

sounds like your bios is fvcked. You probably need a reflash. oh...just create a boot disk with the command to flash the bios in the autoexec.bat

i think it's time to reflash your bios. download it from the website on anotehr computer and follow their instructions. you might want to consult their tech support before doing it also. beware if you do flash it.

The bios BootBlock is a special part of the BIOS which is never flashed. If you have a badflash or other BIOS error, the bootblock loads and can restore the BIOS from a special floppy. Can't remeber exactly what's required on the floppy, but the flash proggie and the correct bios is for sure. Easiest solution is to contact BADFLASH.COM and have them send you a new BIOS chip.
