There are CPU tasks too but it by far performs best on a GPU with high double precision FLOPS. This is most common on older AMD GPU's such as a 7970, 280x, etc.

I just signed up and have tried setting my name for verification on Milky Way. Let’s see if this works…

I signed up and changed my name @ milkyway. then turned all my gpus over to milky. Even fired up a Collab instance and nabbed a K80, will see how many hours before I get booted.

The Sprint lasts 3 days. Changing your name is only required ONCE, then you'll be able to compete on all the BOINCGames Sprints and Marathons.
