V4.12 just was released for download on SETI@home, to upgrade download here.
As always, the core client must manually be installed.
To upgrade, make sure the old client is stopped, and install the new on top.

Note, one of the fixes in v4.12 is for all the permanently failed uploads in seti, therefore will recommend upgrading ASAP...
Also, the client has now lost it's "beta"-tag. 😉

Just so you know, the validator was turned back off again. It's seemingly unable to process all the failed uploads from the weekend, so we need to program some workarounds. Sorry about the slow credits in the meantime, but we'd really like to get rid of this backlog, too.

Also, seti@home has for now enabled the overview of all your "results". 😎
... but the link only showing pending credit is still disabled.

Regarding the validator (again), it seems it just needed to get over some hump, so it was turned on again last night and for the past 12 hours has been draining the queue (about 10% in that time).

BTW, one user posted a possible work-around for the v4.12-hangs, http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.ed...rum_thread.php?id=5529
Basically, make sure "Switch between applications every" is for every venue you're using set to something other than 0 minutes.

So the new version has known bugs? Does this only affect SETI or does it affect other projects also?
