From David Anderson on the BOINC mailing list

"We're in the process of adding a SETI@home application to the beta test.
At this point we have the application compiled only for SPARC/Solaris,
but we should have Windows and linux/x86 versions in a couple of days.

This has introduced a new problem: the SETI@home work units,
which can't get sent anywhere (we have only a few Solaris hosts)
are preventing Astropulse work units from getting sent.
This is why everyone is getting "no work" messages.
This will be fixed shortly.

-- David"

Just thought you might like to know :D

With the fight to keep 6th place it will hard for any of us to make the move! One slip up and BBR will be all over us.

Hey thanks for the update :)

Currently BOINC is in its "Beta testing" phase, meaning that it is being tested by a limited number of users who are running the program on their computers. Within the next two months David Anderson and his team hope to expand this select group of volunteers from several hundred to around ten thousand.

The article is dated 25th Sept ,so we can expect S@H2 to go 'larger scale' Beta sometime before the end of November ,which I think is a month latter than they originally said!

I'd like to move a single rig over to SETI2 just to be in early (like last time) ;)

Not sure what you mean Ulli, I'm doing Astropulse on my P3 800 and it downloaded four WU's today. I checked earlier and I was down to one, now I'm up to five waiting.
