Can anyone confirm if R@H (or any other BOINC project for that matter) allows a certain "grace period" for overdue work units?

IIRC R@H appears to have granted credit for a number of overdue WU's in the past. I think they were a couple of days late at most.
 
If two or more of the computers that are assigned the WU do not return it on time, and it is sent out further, but the originals return it before the later, they will all get credit.

There is no real grace period, however.
