BOINC quits saying my password is wrong.

I restart it and it runs fine for a while then stops seemingly at random intervals.

I recall something similar some time back. The internet connection was dropping and restarting at random and this caused BIONC to become confused. Most routers control incoming port access by matching to an app that originally initiated the link. If the router resets, this link info is lost until you restart the app.

The message came from BOINC - no internet interruptions.
I'll look more closely next time, get the exact wording of the error.

Of course when I quit BOINC and restart it everything is just fine, for a while.

Hmmm, would restarting BOINC, letting it run for a few minutes and then quitting solve that problem? When you quit BOINC it rewrites the info on the HDD ...

This time it did not pop up the error but it did quit.
I exited and restarted it then let it report some finished work.
Then I exited and restarted it.
