BOINC / PrimeGrid not working hardware up to potential?

I set up BOINC and PrimeGrid on my quad-GPU machine, four 9600GSO cards. It has a dual-core CPU. OS is Win7 64-bit.

I checked on the client recently, and it showed in BOINC manager, that only two GPU tasks were running. ("Device 1" and "device 3")

I don't understand why it doesn't load down all four GPUs all the time?

I already performed the cc_config.xml edit to allow it to utilize all GPUs.

It had been working.

It showed a CPU task that was running at high priority. Could this have something to do with it? Maybe it figures that the small CPU percentage that the GPU clients take, would take too mulch CPU time for the high priority task to finish?

I dunno, I rebooted, and then everything was back to normal.

Perhaps, it was just a glitch in the system. The reboot probably refreshed something, which allowed the XML file, that you have edited, to actually be read and thus utilize all four GPUs.

EDIT: I should probably also ask, if this has been a reproduce-able error?

I dunno, I've left it alone for a few days, this is the first time that I've checked on it, and not all the GPUs were running tasks.

When I first edited the cc_config.xml when I first set it up, I did make sure to reboot then, and it was working.
