Boinc on Athlon-64?

I have just picked up an Athlon64 2800 for my fleet, and am currently running Seti-Boinc on it.
On the Boinc Homepage it states that Boinc can be compiled for other architectures.
Does anyone know if a A64 version of boinc has been compiled somewhere?

I would try it myself, but i do not know a compiler from a woodpiler or a dogpiler for that matter.

Any help or a a link in the right direction would be appreciated.

Well, I don't think that there will be an A64 version of the BOINC project.
That's because the boinc program itself isn't doing anything else then coordinate all the work to be done.
A possibility is that the Seti@Home or other projects using the BOINC program as a host will be made 64-bits-ready.
Currently I'm testing the 'old' Seti@home 64-bits version on SuSe 9.1Pro 64bits on my A64.
Results? It's abour 30minutes slower then the 32-bits version.. Weird? indeed, very weird.
So as long as the Linux OS is supporting 32-bits applications to run well, I'm not waiting for 64-bits Seti@home + Boinc... 😉

But, who knows that compiling BOINC for 64-bits is possible, it might be..
I'll check it out tomorrow if I can compile it to 64-bits 🙂

there is no Version for 64 Bit available, and if i ask Rom one of the Programmers at Berkley, he said

my Callenders for to do are full...

so no 64 Bit Client in the next Weeks i think, running here also an Athlon 64 3.200+...

But, who knows that compiling BOINC for 64-bits is possible, it might be..

is is not so easy as you think, but good Luck for you
