I am having a problem where the BOINC Manager "tab" shows in the tray of almost all of my Windoz machines after they are re-booted? If I click "restore" on the tab the BOINC MANAGER opens up but is completely empty? There is a BOINC icon showing up in the startup tray (next to the clock) and BOINC is running.
I have found the only way to remove the "empty" BOINC MANAGER is to right-click on the BOINC icon in the start-up tray and select "Open BOINC Manager...". This opens and seems to replace the empty BOINC Manager and then, when I close it, the BOINC MANAGER disappears and only the BOINC icon is in the start-up tray (as it should be).
BTW, I have not installed BOINC as a service. I have selected the option to run BOINC "always" and during the install process I selected to run "no matter who is logged on to the computer" (forgot the actual phase).
I had this happen again, just last night, on a machine that I had to completely format "c" and do a new installation of windows xp.
Have any of you had a similar experience?
How can I fix this?
