Ok downloaded Boinc a couple of days ago and joined the SETI team again as well as Rosetta @ home. Couldnt get any work for Rosetta (said not enough space) so I changed my preferences on the Rosetta site to 1 gig of space for Rosetta. I loaded Boinc up today and now see the message "Activities Suspended" for both Seti and Rosetta work. Did I change something stupid and mess up Boinc?

Machine is as follows:

AMD Athlon 2500
512mb PC 3200 Ram
120 gb hard drive
Win2k and Boinc version 5.2.13

Any help would be great as I didnt see anything about "Activities Suspended" on their help site.

Edit: Ok click the run always and it started up again, but I would like it to run based on my preferences.

Thanks,

Jarrod

It could have been running the benchmark. When it is running that the project activities will be suspended. If you look in the messages tab of BOINCmgr it should have a message giving you an idea of why they were suspended.

If it started running when you clicked "run always", make sure that your computer and BOINC Rosetta / Seti use the same time zone.

It's possible was suspended due to 5-day benchmark, or manually hit "Suspend", but more likely is due to your Global Preferences

Check the settings of these:
Do work while computer is in use? yes
Do work only between the hours of (no restriction)

Note, a computer connected to multiple projects will use the "Global preferences" from the project that last was edited, and these will be updated on all project-sites if uses same email-address on all projects.

As for disk-space, normally it's no reason to change any of the default values:
Use no more than 100 GB disk space
Leave at least 0.1 GB disk space free
Use no more than 50% of total disk space
Use no more than 75% of total virtual memory

Even the default is 100 GB, you'll in most projects only use upto 100 MB or something, except in CPDN.
