BOINC 2.07 & Seti 2.01 released but still crashes immedately

Yet another new release, still just for the current beta-testers, but more is probably interested in the progress. 😉
Seti is currently only for windows, while new boinc is both windows & linux.

From the beta-list:

"BOINC 2.07 has been released, fixing bugs. Also, the installation
setup program now installs BOINC in your Programs -> Startup
folder (running minimized). You can download at

http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/ap/download.php

SETI@home 2.01 has been released. When you get SETI@home 2.01
work, BOINC will automatically download the SETI@home 2.01
executable.

If you had SETI@home 2.00 work, please do a 'project reset' to get
rid of them (they are buggy).

Edit -- after 1st crashing if doing a clean install, put it on top of 2.06 and after a little trying got some seti-wu... Just like last time, they crashes immediately.

There would have to be a period of time that the latest client would have to work properly before a decision would be made to roll-over the entire project ... wouldn't you think?

Well, seti is still crashing just like before, here's the latest news:

"I'm seeing program exited with non-zero code messages for seti@home.
Is anyone seeing success with S@H workunits?

I'm shutting down the splitter unless I hear otherwise."
(by Eric J. Korpela, 02:28 GMT)

And on startup-crash with 2.07:
"It works if you have an existing client_state.XML (get it from a previous installation)"
(by Karl Chen, 02:38 GMT)

Yes, Smokeball, I wouldn't guess on a release of BOINC before December at the earliest, and they'll highly likely accept old client atleast till I'm reaching my 4th anniversary next year. 🙂
