a 10,000watt one.

I'd be kinda curious to see one of these lit up in person.

I thought I was the only one that watched this guy's videos. If you want a laugh browse his channel, he tried vacuuming fire up with a busted Dyson
I expected it to explode, but it seems the heat and pressure maxed out fairly soon after it started boiling, and the hole was obviously large enough to handle it the pressure.was hoping the bulb would shatter. came away disappointed
that's a bigass lightbulb though.
One time he's slowly increasing the voltage to something. He got up to like 60v (I may be wrong on number, can't recall) which was way past the rating of whatever he was doing. Then he's like "We don't do 60 volts on this channel" and keeps increasing it.![]()
This guy is a hoot. The first video of his I saw was the overclocked washing machine -- seen here...

No way in hell, they rarely use >400W lamps for growing purposes (sometimes 1000W).
Probably a light house, tower beacon or spotlight.
What on earth do use use a 10,000 watt light bulb for?![]()
I would be careful replicating this experiment. If that is electric current passing through the water, it may go through an electrolysis reaction. This produces O2 and H2. H2, unconstrained will blow up an air balloon.

One such use was media projection. What on earth do use use a 10,000 watt light bulb for?![]()
For Bryan Adams 1999-2001 worldwide tour, the musicians lighting designer envisioned covering the stage with abstract, kinetic imagery during each performance. Typically, this type of presentation requires cumbersome projection equipment that would take up at least 8x8' of space. However, the band didnt have the luxury of that amount of room.
They hired BL&S, who designed a system utilizing a 10,000 watt light source rotated so that it pointed straight up, using a mirror to reflect the image back onto the stage.
They used to heat up pieces of steel that were 2.5" X 8" from ambient to 2250F in about 1 minute using induction heat. At that temp the steel is glowing yellow almost to the point of being white.
You guys thinking that the current will go through the water in that scenario really need to brush up on your understanding a bit.
edit: Darn, beaten. (and more accurately since the above post points out "feeble" as opposed to none as I implied). That's what happens when you open a thread and spend half an hour watching videos and then don't refresh before replying.
Lighthouses surprisingly use 1kW lamps due to the incredible power of their first order Fresnel lens.
