Hi.

Got it this afternoon in Montreal (actually I think it's an imported U.K version but I'm not sure).

Anyway ...

I would like to suggest to any of you here who thought about buying the game, like I did ... with hype.

I strongly recommend you rent it or borrow it, or simply read a lot of reviews before buying it. Just to be sure, because I can tell you guys the game lacks, big time, in more than one area of the game.

For those who expect physics, you'll be disappointed (there is almost none, if actually none at all). Everything, including the death animations (even to simulate your foe falling to the ground) is scripted.

It's a very static world. But granted though, is UNSPEAKABLY HUGE. Perhaps two or three times the size of Morrowind, if not even more than that.

As a fact, it is mentioned on the official developer's web site that, as a comparison, the game size is bigger than the city of Chicago. Which in my opinion is true so far.

My final words simply are that the game is playable, it's decent. It doesn't dowright suck. Give it its chance guys. But, again, I highly suggest you do NOT just go to the store and buy it because you "waited" for it. You might well be disappointed like I was.

Still, I'll play it at times, because I believe that over time it will be improved, and even mod makers will add stuff to it that's for sure. So I'll keep it. It can be fun at times. But mostly ... despite the huge size of its seamless world, Boiling Point is a slow paced (in my opinion) and static (that's a fact) game. Be careful, try it before buying it.

If I had to give a rating after my four hours of game play (and believe me you won't need a whole week of game play to notice how the game is). I give it a 6 stars out of 10.

You can visit the developer's web site for more information, or even IGN.com for their preview of the game (a review should be ready from them, and GameSpot, just next week).

The developer's web site is www.deep-shadows.com

Note: They are Russians (or actually Ukranians), so don't complain about their somewhat "basic" english. They do what they can guys !
