BOFA On line banking USERID rant

spacejamz

Lifer

I finally got around to setting up my online BOFA account (for an old Fleet credit card that transitioned over to BOFA after their acquistion) and the user name has to a number between 10 and 20 digits long (no characters are acceptable)...

Who else is gonna remember a 10 digit number that isn't their phone number or social security number???

am i the only that thinks this is totally asinine???

I have on-line account access with Chase, Citi, Discover and Capital One and none of them pull this crap...

/end of rant

cliff note:

BOFA Online access ID has to a 10 - 20 digit number (no characters allowed)...

Yeah, that is rather stupid.

Since when has totally stupid stopped people from wanting to do something though? It's the nature of the beast.

1234567890987654321 - nobody would've thought of that, at all.

one, two, three, four, five? That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! The kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!

Washington BoA asks for your account number, and its only 8 numbers. Not too hard to remember after a couple of times
