Go here for directions to the store. It is open to the public and today they where having a 1/2 price monitor sale with all 17" monitors at $1. My friend and I each picked up a 21" Dell trinitron monitor (monitor description). The price was $50 @ 1/2 off = $25 - 20% Boeing employee discount (friend is an engineer there) = $20 end price. I also got a 17" dell trinitron for $.80 just for the heck of it.

They had no more flats that day but the entire company is replacing all there trinitrons with 19" LCD's so they said expect many more in stock. They have a little test station there to make sure the monitors display a singal.

Besides the trinitrons they had Mitsubushi diamond max 21" (looked a little curved) for $25, P 3 1ghz complete systems for $60-75, and tons of other random office equipment. Defintily worth a look if you are in the Seattle area.

PS there is also an additional 5% off if you bring in non-perishable food for donation.

The funny thing is I all-ready have a dual LCD setup (20.1" widescreen and 15") so I don't really need more monitors but for so cheap I could not resist...

would love some 21"ers...

Cool! I bought a 21" Dell trinitron monitor surplus from my college a few years ago and it lasted about 2 and a half years, until one day it went plaid, so I junked it, and picked up a DELL 17" LCD.

I work for Boeing, and I was told that they don't ship :( ... That's too bad because I would love to build my own airplane with some of the tools they have for sale ;)

The bad thing...if they did ship..is that it's "AS-IS" and "NO RETURNS" ... so you could end up with a lemon! Oh well.

Thats correct, they are only open wed - sat. I would not worry about missing what is left, the place was cleaned out on saturday but according to the checkout person, that always happens. They replace the stock in the downtime and usually have a great selection wed - fri as not that many people go on those days.

I don't know if the half price monitor sale will still be going on but if it is and they have more of the 21" trinitrons (like they are saying they will have) then grab them.

Yeah, but you could have known by clicking on the link HERE in the initial post and going to the link for MidWest. Or was that just a dreamy reminescence?

Oh thank you very much Spike, I got the same as you two trinitrons for $25 bucks each, there were at least 2 left and some other kinds the same size. I was so tempted to buy another 2 but I don't have the space :).
They get you with the VGA monitor cables at $10 each, but still cheap as dirt in the end.
They both work great.
too cool

thanks again.

Edit: Damn shouldn't have got the monitor cables could have got these instead;
VGA Monitor Cables
Oh well live and learn.

I love that place, if you take a look into the back warehouse, you'll notice pallet loads of monitors stacked and wrapped up, unless they've moved them.

Ya they were still there when I went today, and they still had a ton of 17" for a buck each.

Good find!

From the site: In addition, everyone else who shops at the store Nov. 11 will receive the 20% discount normally available only to Boeing employees and retirees. The Boeing-only discount is suspended for that day.

I'll see you all there Friday morning :)

I'm in desperate need of additional monitors - too bad there isn't a similar offer near or in Long Beach.

I went on Nov 11, and got another two for a couple of friends that wanted in. It is a long drive but for such a deal I couldn't hold back. I mean how can you go wrong paying $61 for two 21" monitors.

Yahoooo....
