Look at all that wasted space. No way a commercial airliner would do that.

thing took off like a rocket ship.
The 787 program will open its final assembly plant in Everett in 2007. First flight is expected in 2007 with certification, delivery and entry into service occurring in 2008.

I guess the 787 has a time travel device as one of the new features, because they're not going to be in commercial service until 2008.

Perhaps it was the 777 or a 747. Unless they did get that time machine from Stargate Command.

Wasted space? Arches are a wonderful thing. You should see all the crazy sorts of things that are being planned for airplanes, such as casinos, sleeping areas with actual beds, duty free mini malls where you can actually go and shop in the middle of a flight...
Besides, these types of "innovations" seem to be intended for extended length flights, over seas and what not where they're looking to maximize comfort, not space, for obvious reasons.

ugh.. blue light. why not yellow?
blue light constricts your pupils. yellow light provides for a better visual environment for reading and creates less strain.
yes, pretty, but sucks for the eye.

Probably was a 777. 787 is not even built yet.
