I bought the Bodyguardz kit for my EVO, should have been easy enough to put on, I cleaned the hell out of my phone and followed the directions. When I put the back piece on there were all sorts of black fibers, not sure where they came from. The back was clean and so was the Bodyguardz part. So since they gave me 2 I decided to use the other, I took the 1st one, and double cleaned the battery cover and was extra careful when handling the 2nd piece. BOOM black fibers again. I have the white model so that's what making them stand out. I'm not sure what makes the pieces stick to my phone. can I clean one and still have it stick to the phone?

The back is hard because its so curved. Pita.

Getting it on was no problem, it's the small black fibers everywhere. Before I put it on the back looks spotless and the piece looks the same. As soon as the 2 come together BOOM black crap. Would have been helpful if the Bodyguardz people have included a note in the instructions that said the screen will look like total ass for a day or so. I thought I did something wrong and tossed the 1st screen piece after 20 minutes of messing with it lol. It still looks pretty horrible 11 hours after I did it.

I don't know if this works necessarily (it sort of makes sense) and it may be overkill for you. :D

When I put skins on my phone or other electronics, I run the shower in the bathroom for a few minutes to get the air humid and "weigh" down dust particles and the like. Then I'll take my phone in there.

Also, I wonder if those black fibers are coming from a microfiber cloth? Maybe they threw one in your kit that you used to clean the phone?

This is the method I use. You should see my Xoom screen. Absolutely nothing under that 10" piece of plastic. It was crazy, and I got it on the 1st attempt and I'm by no means a pro at doing this stuff. I swear to the shower method though.

Thanks for that tip.

Cool, I'm glad I'm not the only one. :D

I could have sworn I read somewhere that humidity would weigh down the dust particles and the like. Ever since, I would use the shower to steam up the bathroom before putting those screens on. The only time stuff has ended up under the plastic was when I dropped the f-ing screen protector and it fell sticky side down.

Yup, I have bodyguardz on my TP2 and used the shower method. Works like a charm =)
