The Texas Tech coach reportedly has been suspended for five days after getting into a verbal spat with the university chancellor at a grocery store Monday.

At a grocery store?? This guy is unbe-FREAKIN-lievable

Sure he is hot-headed, but he is a hell of a coach.

The story I heard on the radio this morning was that Knight was eating in the store's cafe and the chancelor and someone else saw him and were discussing how well behaved Knight had been. So the chancelor decided to go up to Knight and tell him that he was glad that he hadn't made headlines for flipping out.

So he flipped out.

I can kind of see where he's coming from, I mean, in the same situation I'd be kind of mad that they said something to me too, like I was a child or something. I can't say I'd have chased the person around the store and into the parking lot yelling at them though.

Yeah, they have sucked.....I guess you missed the National Championship game they played in in 2002, and went 2 round in the NCAA's last year.
I'm no Indiana fan, but that doesn't suck.

they went to the national championship with bob knight's team. he recruited, coached and trained those guys.
