Indeed a Florida State University legend and a college football legend. He coached FSU football for over 30 years. From 1987 to 2000, he led FSU to 14 straight 10-win seasons, part of a remarkable stretch of 28 straight bowl games. Two national championships. One perfect season. Second winningest NCAA football ever. College football Hall of Fame. There's just no end to his achievements.

He was 91.

RIP. He was a coaching legend. While I wasn't a fan and I was very glad to see my Vols win the National Championship against FSU in 2000, I totally respect what he did at FSU and he was a great man, from everything I've heard. Sad to hear of his passing.
