Discussion/argument friend of mine and I had about this, if you're bored:

friend: i have a theory that he's already dead, and they just prop him up
friend: he barely moves in the commercials and never turns his head or anything
me: LMFAO
wow i really bet that's true
some intriciate animatronics going on there

We're not going to see another super-host like Bob because there are too many networks. Shows like TPIR became popular because when it was on, there were only 3 networks. The other two showed 1/2 hour game shows or soap operas. You had a 1-3 chance of watching TPIR. The chances of becoming a household name anymore are severely reduced.
You quoted the part of our conversation about Wilford Brimley, and then talked about Bob.

you know what would be awesome? If Chuck Norris took over the show after barker!

In 2003, Barker celebrated his eightieth birthday with a prime-time special on CBS. It featured guest appearances by fan Céline Dion along with friends talk-show host Larry King and actor Chuck Norris. The show also featured taped vignettes from CBS stars like Ray Romano, the cast of Becker, and the cast of Joan of Arcadia.

I just cut off the conversation so the whole thing didn't quote.
