A quick tip if your not familiar with boats...
ALWAYS look for the "tell tail". It's a little spout of water that comes out of the back engine if your water pump & cooling system are working properly.
When I was a kid, we bought a used outboard, and didn't know to look for that. The boat had set for a few years, and the impeller for the water pump had dry rotted. No water = siezed engine = expensive repairs
