Boardgame nights are fun

I went over to a coworker and her boyfriend's apartment last Saturday where a bunch of their friends and a few of my friend were, and we all sat around and played boardgames like "Taboo" and "Beyond Balderdash". Sounds corny and lame, but I had so much fun, and didn't even finish my 3rd beer!

Anyone else done this, or recommend some good boardgames for intelligent 18-30 year olds?

Monopoly is a great game, but not for a boardgame night w/ some friends. then balderdash, mad gab, cranium, etc are far better. Short, quick games.
 
Monopoly has always been a favorite of mine, though it usually turns into Dane Cook's rendition. 😀
