My son's PC refused to boot. The PSU was tripping out so I tried the "plug the mainboard connector in while powered" fix which didn't work so I replaced the PSU.
This allows me to get power through the system, but still no boot. Having removed and/or re-seated everything in the PC, I've managed to isolate the fault to the 2nd MBoard power connector (the 4 pin one). With this in the PC wont power up - with it unplugged the PC powers up, but, of course, won't boot properly.
Any suggestions, or this just a straightforward faulty Mainboard ?
Thanks
